Policies, Accommodations, & Helpful Information

COVID and Face Mask Policy

We encourage – but do not require – everyone to carry masks at all times on campus and use their best judgment on when it’s appropriate to wear a mask. We especially encourage wearing a face mask in Herring Hall 100 during presentations at the conference. We will have a supply of masks for anyone who would like to wear a mask.

Gender Neutral Restrooms

Campus Shuttles

We have a shuttle system on campus that you are welcome to use. It is completely free and there are no requirements to use the shuttles. The most helpful shuttles during your visit may include the inner loop and greater loop shuttles which go in a loop around the campus. Herring Hall is shuttle stop #6. The Moody Center for the Arts on campus is shuttle stop #3.

Metro Rail Line

If you plan to explore the city during your visit, the Red Line of the Metro Rail is nearby and is approximately a 10-minute walk from campus. The Hermann Park/Rice U station is closest to campus. If you take the Northline TC from the Hermann Park/Rice U station to the Museum District station, you will arrive exactly at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

You can find more information on the Metro Rail Line here.
